The Thomas Crapper story began in the 1800s when Thomas Crapper himself became one of Britain’s most famous plumbers and sanitary engineers, helping revolutionise modern bathrooms and bringing better sanitation to homes across the country. His name has become legendary over the years, but behind it was a true innovator whose work improved people’s lives.
We’re incredibly proud to have the support of a company with such a unique history and heritage behind us on this challenge. Although, sadly, while rowing across the Atlantic we won’t quite have the luxury of one of Thomas Crapper’s finest toilets onboard — just a bucket and a very strong stomach!
